Have you ever had a can of pop (soda) explode? Particularly, have you ever had one explode at home? You clean up the obvious mess and think you’re done. Later you discover some that splattered a little further away. Months later you discover a few droplets that made it all the way down the hall or the stairwell.

It’s a metaphor for life. Some of our behaviors, or our words, have immediate consequences that we don’t notice until later. Sometimes much later. This can be either for good or for ill.
I don’t know that we can prevent every life explosion. However, if we are more aware of the consequences, we have the opportunity to be a bit more conscientious and perhaps splatter more good “droplets” than bad.
