Consuming or Contributing?

There are so many options of things to consume: TV, books, podcasts, social media. We have more resources at our disposal than ever before. It’s impossible to absorb them all. Yet it all boils down to consuming. In some cases, it is for entertainment. In some cases, it is to become more knowledgeable. In some cases, we are simply bored and filling up time. The resulting bloat can feel like lethargy and pointlessness. Not unlike following a large holiday meal with more snacks.

What do we do with all this “stuff” we’ve consumed? Do we put it to use? Do we share it with others who may benefit? Or do we hide it in some storage unit (physical or mental) where it just takes up valuable space?
