Connecting the Pieces

I help people see life from a different angle, point out what they contribute, so they can dream and grow.

My goal in working together is to help you discover your puzzle pieces, connect them together, and see how the bigger picture will emerge for your life.

What can you expect from coaching?

Coaching involves a series of conversations, guided by good questions. The role of the coach is to help you to get clarity on what’s important to you and focus your life decisions accordingly.

Coaching is growth oriented. It is focused on moving from the present to the future. The coaching strategy can be applied to personal goals, business goals, areas where you would like to gain some traction.

How is coaching different from therapy?

Therapy is designed to help in the healing process when things are painful or not working. If you have serious issues in your life that need that kind of attention, please see a therapist to get the help and encouragement you need.

What do I expect from You as the client?

Come curious. This is about discovery and exploration as well as clarity and decision making. Plan on allocating distraction free time for our conversations. Please be on time so that we can get the most out of our session. Plan, also, on allocating time for whatever follow up steps you might want to take after a conversation.

Where does coaching take place?

Most coaching will take place over video call or over the phone. It is the best use of time and can be done in a place where both parties are comfortable. It also means you can work with me from anywhere. If you live in the Denver Metro area, like I do, long time clients might eventually wish to meet in a coffee shop or another quiet public place.

How long does the coaching relationship last?

There is no set length of time and no set frequency. The coaching lasts as long as you have an objective you want to accomplish and see the value in having a coach work with you in attaining that objective.

For many people, every other week or twice a month is a good pace. You will want time between sessions to take some action on your new ideas.  In general, it is a good idea to follow a theme until you feel like you’ve made some progress. From there, you can explore another theme. You may work for a few months on certain goals and then stop when you are finished. You may also decide to come back later when you have new or additional things you want to tackle. Obviously, longer range or more difficult goals will take more time.

Do I work with groups?

Yes! Working in groups or teams can actually be really helpful. Some of your self discovery work can be done with a partner. If you have work-related professional development needs, I also facilitate workshop style training.

How long are the sessions and what is the cost?

Coaching sessions for individuals are 1 hour long at a rate of $140. The initial conversation will be a little longer (still $140) to allow us to introduce ourselves and examine what issues you want to explore.

Group rates vary depending on the size of the group and the format of the session(s). (Usually workshops involve several hours of training and follow up.)
