I have opinion fatigue. Politics, social media, product marketing. It’s exhausting. There are some things that I legit have an opinion on – whether strong or loosely (iphone v. android). Other things I might not have an opinion about, but I still have to make a decision (mostly for work things). But there are other things that are outside my event horizon (takis v. cheetos, zebras v. giraffes) and it’s not worth the cognitive expenditure.
If I have an opinion I can play. If I don’t have a preference (morning meetings v. afternoon meetings), I can agree to go along with the group. If I’m not qualified to have an opinion (lack of expertise, knowledge), I will say so. But please don’t press me to vote on something arbitrary. I might just give you an arbitrary answer.
